Early Shrinkage Modeling of Complex Internally Confined Concrete Based on Capillary Tension Theory

This paper evaluates the shrinkage performance of concrete under complex internal constraint environments comprising steel plates, studs, and reinforcement to investigate their respective influence laws on concrete. An early model constraints was established based theory capillary tension, effects plate, nails, were theoretically analyzed. Six sets concrete-constrained tests pore structure then performed different conditions with plate thickness, diameter, stud-related parameters (stud height, spacing) as research variables. The test results demonstrate that increases increase in coefficient, will cause a decrease stress, which is driving force shrinkage. Its inevitably lead By comparing calculated values measured values, it found average value prediction error less than 15%, reveals predicted are good agreement proves can effectively predict restrained by pins, reinforcing bars.
